AAK Kids Performed at Namaste IndiaAAK junior members performed bihu dance at Namaste India 2018 organised by Indian Community School Khaitan on January 5th 2018. AAK Hon. President Mr. Nurul Huda received the Cultural Excellence Award from ICSK.
All AAK Members appreciated the junior members for showcasing Assamese cultural at the forum where representatives from various parts of India performed their traditional dance items. AAK Celebrated Autumn Festival
AAK celebrated Autumn Festival on 3rd November 2017 where children showcased outstanding excellence with their colorful performances and contributed to “Creative Corner" which encourage the creative talent of our children. The interesting & witty quiz rounds by the Quiz team also kept everyone engaged while sharing some really valuable must-knows. Everyone also enjoyed while trying their fortune during the raffle draw conducted by the AASHA team. AAK members appreciated the experienced food team for a wonderful layout of delicious and sumptuous snacks and elaborate dinner. Program concluded with vote of thanks from Hony. President of AAK.
Rongali Bihu 2017
Magh Bihu 2017 celebrated by AAK membersThe Magh Bihu celebration on 12th and 13th January 2017 was a stupendous success, there was a huge gathering at Wafra Farm house. Uduka was celebrated on 12th night in the farm house which was fun-filled with bonfire, live music and bhoojbhat. Next day on the day of Bihu,, the multi-cuisines Jalpaan was solid hit and everyone relished it to the fullest. All the members has enthusiastically contributed with one or the other item, each one was indeed perfect like we find in Asom. Its really worth praising the ladies of AAK for putting so much effort and serving us with variety of Pitha-Pana, laaru, Jalpaan, which is very difficult to get here (specially the ingredients). The children and ladies had a Gala time enjoying various Fun-n-Games program The best part of the day was the mouth-watering menu of Bhoj-Bhaat. AAK Lady Members Performed Bihu Dance
Lady members of AAK recently performed Bihu Dance in Indian Cultural Divas organised by Arpan on November 4th 2016. Dance groups of various Indian cultural associations from Kuwait representing different regions performed their traditional dances along with MJ5 group from India. On November 14th 2016, AAK EC Committee members met H.E. Hon. Ambassador of India in Kuwait Mr. Sunil Jain. AAK President Mr. Himangshu Dey introduced newly elected AAK office bearers. The AAK President Mr. Himangshu Dey and the team appraised him of the activities and achievements of our association and offered our best wishes to him. AASHA's Distributed Flood Relief Material in Majuli
This is an small attempt to help the flood affected people of Majuli from Assamese people of Kuwait. We are greatful to ABAKASH MAJULI specially Mr. Amlan for his valuable time for the distribution of relief materials and happy to be connected with ABAKASH MAJULI in future too. My sincere thanks to the AAK members for their contribution.
AASHA Distributed School Items in MorigaonAASHA took an initiative to distribute aid in Garapar ME School under Lahorighat sub division of Morigaon District. The school is located about 3 hours drive from Guwahati city. AASHA donated Desk Benches, Water Filter, Steel Cabinet & Ceiling fan etc.
AAK would like to THANK to all members for their contribution towards AASHA for a humanitarian activity for the people of Assam. AASHA has recently carried out a flood relief activity in Tinsukia District of Assam. Mr. Sasanka Bhuyan, a new member of AAK provided his time & efforts to make our mission successful. Asom Association Kuwait- Salve for Humanitarian AidAASHA is a charitable trust under Asom Association, Kuwait (AAK). This is an attempt to support our brothers and sisters in our homeland. AASHA will try to support needy people through difficult times. Fund will be generated on the basis of voluntary DONATIONS and members can VOLUNTEER any number of donations in a year. Minimum limit for such donation on each occasion is KD10.
AASHA is in budding state and needs your support to grow further. AASHA is trying to find out the best credible organization for our charity efforts. All members are welcome to suggest organizations to which the donations can be made. AASHA’s first attempt, collection of FIT-4-PURPOSE used items was successful and thanks to each and every members for their support. We have sent about 500 kg of used items from Kuwait to a NGO name “ABAKASH MAJULI”. We request you to come up with new ideas and suggestions to help us.
