 SALME AKHTAR AHMED D/o Danish Akhtar Ahmed and Mosfika Ahmed, members of Asom Association Kuwait, has earned a new feather in her already decorated crown. She has bagged the prestigious job of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in the Department of Hospital Management in Sikkim Manipal University, Gangtok, Sikkim. She has overcome stiff competition and surpassed senior contenders to be selected for this job.
Members may remember earlier she had bagged a Gold Medal as the topper in the Final Graduation of BACHELOR OF HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION from MANIPAL UNIVERSITY , MANIPAL , KARNATAKA.  With a heavy heart we bid adieu to families of two of our very active members Mr. Aghore /Bobby Bhattacharya and Shyamal / Misilu Baruah. They have always played a key role in all activities undertaken by our association. Without them our cultural forays into the world of music will not be the same again. They have certainly moved on to greener pastures and will definitely reach greater heights. But our loss is certainly somebody else's gain. CONGRATULATE LENOY  Leenoy had joined University of Nebraska, Lincoln, US for undergraduate study (BS) in Mechanical Engineering in August,2009 after completing his higher secondary education from FAIPS, Kuwait. He had been selected for the post of Resident Assistant (RA) for the term 2010-11 after a specific selection process. Because of this, he got an opportunity to interact directly with various students, staff and Resident Directors of the University. In addition he received financial benefits and other facilities. Furthermore, in the month of January, 2011 he got a chance to attend the RA Conference held in University of Northern IOWA along with few other RAs. He is returning for that position for the term 2011-12. Recently, an interview of Leenoy was published in “Daily Nebraskan” a daily paper published from the university.
Leenoy is the son of our association member Anupam Rajkhowa & Anjali Rajkhowa  The following ladies from Assam Association, Kuwait has just completed successfully their Bachelor of Education programme from Annamali University (Distant Learning programme).
